Charles Bruguière holds a Master's degree in Business Law and a Master II in Financial Criminal Law from the University of Cergy-Pontoise / ESSEC. After several positions alongside prosecutors and investigating magistrates, Charles Bruguière developed deep expertise in criminal procedure, the field in which he chose to specialize. He intervenes at every stage of criminal proceedings before the criminal courts (Correctional Courts and Assize Courts) as well as before regulatory authorities (Financial Markets Authority, Tax Administration) and disciplinary bodies.

Charles Bruguière has also developed an advisory practice abroad, assisting several governments in modernizing criminal legislation and ensuring respect for fundamental rights.

This work has taken him to several African countries to audit courts and detention facilities, allowing him to advise States on the key legislative directions in criminal law and human rights.
